I lived in Algiers from 1946 to 1947. My father was stationed there with the American Graves Registration Service. My memory of this place is non-existant, but my mother told me that we rented (along with another family) a very large villa (the dining room sat over 30 people at one time). Prior to that, we had lived in a local hotel for military personnel.
